We've now got a Sainsbury's Local - very useful in my opinion but is there anything else we need?
A deli, butchers, decent coffee shop? Be interesting to see what people might want.

I would have said a smaller Tesco / Co-op however they are only a short walk near Northumberland Heath.
Instead of Sainsburys, it would have been great to have a Waitrose Local.
Barnehurst needs a good gym. Something like the new Bexleyheath Gym. I guess there may not be demand for this as its a smaller area than Bexleyheath.
I find the Local Barnehurst Kebab / Mr Daddies Chipshop overpriced compared to other food takeouts within suburbs of London - (I guess they don't have much other competition)
However Omar Khayyam Restaurant is a prime example of a good local restaurant at reasonable prices. Really recommend trying this place if you have yet not been.
And the Saprano's Pizza shop needs to go, or needs to be refurbished into something alot nicer.
There's alot of potential for Barnehurst.

We will only get good local shops/resturants when people stop using the Large Super Markets and international stores who don't pay tak in the UK like Starbucks (Incorporated in USA) and Tescos (Incorporated in Luxembourg a European tax haven).

A realistically priced gym, Something similar to - Gym Bexleyheath.
Erith Leisure centre and Crook Log are too far and staff there are rude and unhelpful.

I've only been in the area for about 6months. Agreed....we need a local gym similar to the one in Bexleyheath. I am certain there's enough in the locality to make having one worthwhile.
Also, a small bus plying Haversham Road or Belmont Road would really make a difference.

A nice (wine) bar would be great, aimed at the 30+ age group. I am not keen on going to any of the bars in Bexleyheath.

Soprano's pizza shop is an absolute disgrace. Service was awful and the food was inedible
