I am sorry to see this is happening to one part left where children can play safely as I and my brother, sisters enjoyed this park in the late 50s and 60s I left Barnehurst many years ago, but I still have family living close by and they take their grandchildren there and tell me how much they enjoy the park. Be very sad to lose this part of Barnehurst.
PLACES OVERVIEW AND SCRUTINY COMMITTEE MEETING - We now have a date and time for this meeting where we will be presenting the petition and putting forward our case for the playground to stay open in its current location. The meeting will take place:
Tuesday 30th June 7:30pm (arrive for 7.15) Civic Offices, Bexleyheath
I understand that this time and date may not be convenient for a lot of people, but if you can attend please do. The Committee Officers are expecting a large turnout and are preparing for many members of the public to attend so let's prove them right! Please spread the word about this meeting through facebook and tell anyone who does not have facebook about it. Again this will be an excellent opportunity and perhaps the last to show the massive amount of support the community has given in the campaign to save Old Manor Way Playground. I will post further details as and when we hear anything. Hope to see you all there!
